MGUS: An M spike > 0 on protein electrophoresis test, is indicative of increased multiple protein, which is indicative of early myeloproliferative abnormality. However, an M spike of 0.61 is not significantly elevated, which is also referred as Monoclonal Gammopathy of Unknown Significance (MGUS). However, early multiple myeloma we'll other myeloproliferative disease cannot be excluded.
