Hives: It sounds like you have hives or urticaria. If you have no shortness of breath or difficulty swallowing I would try an over the counter antihistamine. If these continue to get worse or you have the previously mentioned symptoms get seen right away.

Hives?: It may be allergic hives due to something you ate or contact dermatitis you got in contact with. It also may be something else, difficult to tell without a picture. Your PCP will tell you more after seeing it.
