Dtap vaccine: To complete the series and be properly immunised the babies are given 3 dtap shots in first year, 4th shot in 2nd year and a booster between 4 and 6.After that every child needs a booster every 10 years. So three tdap shots 2 months apart, is the minimum to get primary immunity in adults and than booster every 10 years, but vaccine for adults is different, it is not dtap but tdap.
