Many causes: I would suggest hat you continue to take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for a few more days if it helps. If the problem is prolonged , see your doctor. In the meanwhile, try applying moisturizer to your skin immediately after bathing just in case dry skin is the problem.

Find cause: It is important to find the cause of itching. This may need a dermatologist to see you on consultation. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a temp relief medicine, it does not cure the problem. Make sure your skin is well moisturized as dry skin can be the cause especially with all the heating going on in the house during cold months.
