A member asked:

I had a severe charley horse earlier this year. if i'm on it too long, it starts to hurt again. what stretches will help so i can start running again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Interesting: A "Charlie Horse" does not leave permanent symptoms. Perhaps there was an injury that caused the Charlie Horse problem that has not been treated, or cannot respond to stretching alone. See a Sports physician for a thorough examination (bring your running shoes to the exam). Physical therapy with electricity or laser capacity can help accelerate tissue healing. Good Luck with your running sport
