A member asked:

I am not nor was i recently pregnant. one of my areoles is significantly larger than the other. what can the reason be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Areola size: If this size difference has just presented, then it might be caused by an infection or other inflammatory process. If you have always had one nipple larger than the other, this may just be how your nipple grew. Changes in nipple size that are not related to infections or genetic presentations may be an early sign of breast cancer, so getting this condition evaluated if it just occurred is impt.
