Get checked: Are you also experiencing the darker areola/nipple to be dry and/or scaly? Just to be safe, I would have your doctor perform a breast exam to make sure it is not a sign of breast cancer known as Paget's disease. You are young but it is possible. It could very well be normal, but I don't want you to take any chances.
