Wisdom teeth?: If you haven't had your wisdom teeth removed, it is common for the gums to get sore and infected where the teeth are erupting. If partially in the mouth, germs can get under the flap of tissue and become inflamed. When you bite down, the upper teeth will hit this gums and injure it further. See your dentist or oral surgeon. They can treat the infection then remove the teeth.
