Not to Worry: A scab should return over the new skin that was underneath if necessary to ensure proper healing. Placing a Band-Aid bandage with some antibacterial cream will keep the area clean and keeping the area moist may reduce scarring.

Pressure Application: You did right to put band aid. If it is not bleeding and not painful, just watch it. If bleeding is continued, provide pressure for sometime untill it stops bleeding. Can try OTC medications for pain relief.
