Debra - it means: The broad banded ligament that attaches from the heel to the toe region is not at full capacity, it is degenerated or worn away with a slight tear (usually very painful.) For something like this if very painful, a walking boot is something I recommend. PRP is something I offer my patients with a partial tear but it is not covered by insurance and is out of pocket.
