Yes: PCOS will affect your estrogen and progesterone levels and menstrual cycling. Because estrogen has a profound effect on serotonin production by the limbic system (part of the brain that creates our mood and well-being) you should have the PCOS addressed, and if needed, consider antidepressant therapy since your problem is likely physiologic/metabolic.
