Depression: When people "hate themselves" what they are saying is that they feel sad, and feel a loss of self-worth. It is never the case that other people are able to see your imperfections as clearly as you can since you know where to look, as it were. I would recommend discussing these feelings with a psychologist, social worker, or counselor. Don't wait, do it today...
