Could be cavity: The chewing surfaces of the back teeth are the most likely area to have decay. It may be stain, early cavity, or a cavity that has not reached the sensitive parts of the tooth. By the time a cavity hurts its usually means that a root canal is needed. Get this checked out before its an issue. If its not a cavity the grooves and pits can be sealed so its less likely to get a cavity

Cavities?: Any hole in a tooth, whether an infection-free enamel defect or a cavity, an infection, requires actual physical examination. Not being able to see, examine, x-ray your teeth we cannot answer your question in this forum. Please schedule a dental examination.
