Lump: This swelling would likely be one of three things: hydrocele, varicocele or swollen epididimys. The epididimys is the sac on top of the testicle that is the bag for sperm. The sac can get infected or even trauma can cause it to swell. There is a structure called the spermatic chord which contains vas and venous structure. A hydrocele is fluid that collects here and a varicocele is a swollen vein.
