No fun!: Get a cool mist humidifier for his room. Squirt nasal saline up his nose and use the bulb syringe to suction (they hate it - might need another adult to help). Vicks in the vaporizer is fine. Benedryl is OK in this age group for the allergy symptoms. Good luck!

Humidifier, elevate: Is he having a hard time sleeping due to difficulty breathing from his nose? You can try to elevate the crib by placing sheets under the mattress to give a 20 degree angle. Also a humidifier might help. He is too young to trial an antihistamine to help with congestion. Lots of clear liquids to thin out the secretions. Make sure he stays hydrated.
