It can be.: Retin A is usually an effective topical treatment for acne. Many girls/women also take birth control pills, such as Ortho Tri Cyclen, (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) which can also help to control acne.

Yes: If you become pregnant while taking birth control pills --occurs in about 5% of users--there is no harm to your baby. Stop them as soon as your pregnancy test is positive. While many women will maintain adequate milk production on combination pills (estrogen & progesterone), some women will notice a decline. So most of the time a Progesterone only pill is recommended.

Man or Woman? Age?: I believe that acne can be caused by or aggravated by certain foods and medications. I would have to know your gender; your age, and do you eat nuts and peanut butter? High glycemic index foods? Chocolate? If you are a girl/woman, do you break out before your periods, for example?

Low androgen pill: Androgens are a group of hormones associated with "male traits", acne, hormone-related scalp hair loss, & hair growth in unwanted areas (e.g. facial) in women. Birth control pills contain a Progesterone (androgen) & often estrogen component. Pills with a low or anti- androgen Progesterone component (e.g. Yaz, (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) Yasmin, etc) are often helpful for hormone-related acne. Consult your doctor.

How can you relieve eyes that are itchy and puffy due to acne cream?

Avoidance: When applying acne cream, avoid applying near/around the eyes, and applying sparingly. Most acne creams only require a pea-sized amount of product for a face application, which is applied by dabbing (on cheeks, chin, forehead, & nose) then rubbing in. If your symptoms occur or worsen despite proper application, stop using the product & see your physician as you may be having an allergic reaction.

Wait a little longer: Contusion or hard bangs on the knuckles may take 6 or more months to heal. You may have injured the periosteum. This thin tissue layer provides nutrients to the bone outer surface, it heals real slowly!
