Carbs in oat bran: From a brief Web search, it looks like the content is similar, i.e., approximately 3 to 4 grams of carbohydrate per tablespoon. When you read the label on the side of a container, be sure to note the volume. E.g., if it says 48 grams of carbohydrate in one cup, that is 3 grams per tablespoon (16 tablespoons in one cup).

Oat bran: Oat fiber has all of the carb containing portion removed so you are left with the shell of the oat, while oat bran has some carb left in it.
