Maybe a fungal prob: Everyone has organisms on their skin. In certain circumstances, the organisms may overgrow. One sign of this is white spots. Some endocrine diseases may also cause a condition where the skin has discoloration. I recommend you see a family doctor as soon as you can for diagnosis and treatment.

Sunburn?: Hi, a sunburn can cause those symptoms, especially the peeling. If it is a sunburn the best thing to do is use a gentle moisturizer like Eucerin and stay out of the sun. If you have not had a recent sunburn there is a fungal skin infection called Tinea Versicolor that can cause areas of depigmentation, (pale spots). It is not contagious but needs anti-fungal treatment to be cured.
