A member asked:

Got a bad sunburn months ago, it started to peel & i peeled it before it was ready. now i have tiny, white spots covering my chest that won't go away.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sun damage: Those "white spots" are likely areas of low pigmentation brought about by damage to the melanocytes (cells that make pigment) from the sunburn. It may take a year for them to kick back in and for your skin to look normal color again. In the meantime, make sure you use sunscreen daily and pamper your skin in next few months with moisturizers and avoidance of irritants.
