Not just psy: This is not just psychiatrists. About all specialties are under the time table to try to treat patients in fifteen minutes.

Depends: Brief appointments for known and stable patients may be enough. Risk stratification and appropriate timed appointments is reasonable. Many patients of all sorts are using internet to gather data. Some sites are very good, but some are not. Be careful.

Appointment times: Approximately 45% of psychiatrists are not on insurance plans requiring the 15 minute medication check model. http://tinyurl.com/ljkbqtm many (including me) see their patients for longer sessions as needed. However, some patients object to paying for services since they feel their insurance benefits should suffice. Self-treatment via internet is very risky, and i don't recommend it.
