Don't panic: Dizziness can be tricky to figure out, and even the word "dizzy" is used to describe many different sensations. True vertigo (meaning a spinning sensation or sense of movement) generally points to an issue with the inner ear. Repeated episodes of vertigo could be due to benign positional vertigo, Meniere's, migraine, or other causes. A detailed history and exam by an ENT can help narrow this down.
