Why doesn't the cdc recommend blood testing, when there are no symptoms?

Are you asking about: Ebola? Ebola can be hard to diagnose even once symptoms start because it can present like typhoid, Malaria or other hemorrhagic fevers. There are very few labs that test for Ebola by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) or Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (PCR). If you are thinking about testing people who are coming into the US - that could be a huge task.
