Menopause: The average age of menopause is 51. You might be able to avoid early menopause by eating a healthy, organic diet and avoiding smoking. But, to a large degree, your own individual age at menopause is genetically pre-determined. Birth control pills do not conserve eggs. Nor does pregnancy or breast feeding. You can freeze eggs if you are worried about the biologic clock.
