It's okay: You can get a tattoo with your daughter. Taking low dose maintenance steroid to avoid flareups and symptoms with RA should not interfere with getting a tattoo and neither should RA itself. However, I would recommend going to a clean and reputable parlor to avoid risk of contracting hepatitis. Many RA pts take meds & immunomodulators that are processed by liver. Want your liver healthy.

Not a good idea: Chronic prednisone use prescribed to control your RA flareups can increase your risk for infection. Even though you may find a reputable tattoo salon, you will be more susceptible to skin infection due to prednisone which can cause poor wound healing. Why don't you take your daughter for a game of paintball ,then to a spa afterwards. Have a fun girls day out before she goes off to college!
