Pus: Pus tastes metallic. Check for and infection in the gums, teeth, tonsils, or sinuses.

Most common causes include bleeding (blood tastes like copper), especially from gum disease, infection (gums, teeth, sinuses, tonsils), GERD, diabetes, etc. See both your General Physician and/or a specialist ENT as well as your General Dentist or a specialist Periodontist.
