Don't worry: Doesn't sound serious to me, especially at your age. And probably not connected with your cold and cough. But if it enlarges or other areas of discoloration develop (anywhere on your body) not related to injury, or pain develops have this checked by your doctor.

Could be: early sign of vasculitis, especially if you smoke, so show it to your doctor for accurate diagnosis and proper treatment.
