Depends: It can be signs and symptoms of an upper respiratory infection. When the throat is inflamed or fighting an infection, they can become swollen. You can experience pain when swallowing. Check if there are other symptoms associated like fever, malaise, ear discharge. I suggest supportive care like rest, chicken soup and NSAIDs. If sx worsen go to your Doctor. Good luck
