Several options...: ...are available, but the most effective for deep scars, in my opinion, is laser abrasion, which smoothes out the edges of the scars to make them less visible. Other options include dermabrasion, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels - BUT don't try anything surgical until you have been off Accutane for at least 1 year. There is a risk of increased scarring, even after you stop taking it.
