You can but: it may be more logical to apply a skin moisturizer after washing your face on a regular basis to prevent the itching.

Skin Itch on Face: I do not recommend using a steroid cream on your face. Consider instead applying your favorite moisturizer directly after washing your face to seal in the moisture.
