Acne: Benzoyl peroxide facial wash/scrub of about 10% strength is a reasonable first line treatment choice for acne. Do not expect immediate results, however. Many options: Use topical benzoyl peroxide and glycolic or salicylic acid washes and solutions or lotions. See a dermatologist for stronger medications that contain retinoids and topical antibiotics. May need oral antibiotics or Accutane for more severe acne. Anti-androgens also help.
