1 cm dilated: You can be one cm dilated until u deliver the baby 5-6 weeks from now. If this is your first pregnancy and the baby has engaged to the birth canal this can happen. Unless you are having contractions, there is no reason to think it will dilate further. Also, it matters how "effaced" or thinned out the cervix is.
