Sometimes: Work carefully with your doctor. Specialized physical therapy can help the dizziness also.

Possibly: There is some evidence that steroids in the setting of acute viral labyrinthitis may be helpful but it isn't great evidence. And steroids do have real adverse effects some worse for others. This type of decision is best reviewed between a patient and their health care providers. Best of luck.
