Tinnitus: This can be a lingering complaint. You may try a short course of steroids (prednisone) (1 week to 10 days). Talk to your doc or ent.

See an ENT: Labyrinthitis is associated with severe vertigo and hearing loss. If you have acute hearing loss (tinnitus is a sign of hearing loss), steroids can help, but are best administered in the first week. There may be some options for injection of the steroids into your middle ear at this point. But you need an audiogram first to know what your hearing is. Time is of the essence to see an ent!
