TTC: Not best position, but AFTER sex, some recommend you stay on your back 30-60 min with a pillow or cushion under bottom to try and help the sperm make it past the cerivix and into your uterus. Best of luck. Hope this helps Dr R

Fertility: The retroverted uterus does not prevent conception using any "position". If you are ovulating normally, with regular periods, and pregnancy does not occur when you are having sex at the time of ovulation for six months (get a thermometer calibrated in tenths at your drugstore to determine ovulation). Consult your healthcare professional. He/she may recommend a semen analysis for your partner.

Not the position: The position you have sexual relations in has nothing to do with conception. If you have been trying for more then a year with no results then see your GYN to see if there is a problem. Other wise, enjoy each other.
