Need more info: There are many causes for arm pain. You should give more information about your pain. If you have chest pain and shortness of breath too, go to the emergency room. If you injured yourself, contact your doctors office for evaluation and treatment.

Need many more facts: There are way too many possible reasons to go into now. Clearly more history is needed. Ideally a doctor would want to perform a history and physical exam before making a diagnosis.

Many possibilities!: Pain in your left arm can have so many explanations. What kind of work do you do? Is you left arm the dominant arm? Any recent trauma ? Any other symptoms asssociated? If it last more than 48 hrs spontaneously or with regular over-the-counter pain killers, or if any asssociated fever or extreme difficulty moving it, that should prompt you to seek medical assistance right away.

Lets review your que: First we need to know more information. Where is the pain? do you repetitive movements such as work on the computer, play sports such as tennis,etc. Any injury or trauma? Shoulder can be tendonitis/bursitis/strain Wrist could be tendonitis/carpal tunnel elbow could be tenditis/bursitis. all above without injury
