Cracked Rib??: You may have pulled or cracked a rib joint. To make sure need an X ray , to make sure nothing in the lungs. If Chest X-ray is normal, then start taking Advils (ibuprofen) for one week. See your Doctor to examine and guide you.

Pleurisy?: Could be an focal area of inflammation between your chest wall and lining around your lungs. This typically is associated with sharp pain when you breath in deeply. It is usually only occasionally present, and lasts minutes, not hours. If it persists, put in a call to your primary care provider. Hope this helps!
