Normal Variation : Yes your tonsils can vary this is very normal. Unless you are having problems with them do not let it worry you.

The skin flap in front of one tonsil (anterior tonsil Pilar) on one side looks different. It has an extra nodule of skin, in a way. They are the same color on both sides, though. Is it normal it not to be identical on both sides?

Never looked at my tonsils until 3 months ago. When I looked I saw one is larger and diff shape than the other. Larger one looks the same as 3 months ago. If it were cancer would it likely have changed in size in 3 months? Sometimes it has dull aches?
