Moots not: Contagious and the spouse does not need treatment but relapse is common

Not contagious: so spouse does not need treated. You can get H.pylori again.

Kind of: H. pylori is often acquired in childhood and can be spread within a family, but the actual route on which it is spread remains unknown. Your spouse doesn't need treatment unless he has symptoms and proof of infection. It is possible to relapse but this does not occur often.
