A member asked:

Why has my hip implant dislocated twice in 1 and 1/2 years? and why now occasional groin pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could indicate DJD: Groin pain is usually indicative of further degenerative changes in the hip. If you have a hemiarthroplasty (femur only), it could mean that you have further changes in the socket (acetabulum). If you have a total hip replacement it could have sign of loosening. Please see your surgeon. To help osteporosis, check with your doctor and take vit D3, about 2000 iu daily to help prevent breaks
