Probably not serious: A neurologist would be the right place to go. Described symptoms not likely serious. Focal seizures would not be expected to affect both sides, and this would be an unusual location anyway. Electrolyte problems might cause muscle twitching, but not only on the head. If the neurologist was reassured, you should probably be too. There are non-addicting meds that might help reduce muscle twitching.
