Yes, but start slow: Cory, like you, I used to be very heavy. I weighed 350 lbs. I started running at 300, and have never stopped. Studies have shown that running does stress joints and bones, but that this stress actually improves the joints and bones being stressed. Just start slow. Going too far too fast is a sure way to get injured. Hope this helps!
