Get checked: You'll have to get a healthcare provider to examine this lesion. There are too many possibilities to speculate about.

Lump: It is not advisable to squeeze any lumps or other lesions. There is not enough information to diagnose the type of lump you have. Have a physician examine it if it persists.

Boil vs Cyst: Sounds as though you are describing either a boil or faruncle, or a cyst. Boil is a collection of pus, usually below a hair follicle, especially in an area where you may be shaving. Boil may respond to warm compresses and allow it to come to a head without repeated squeezing. If redness or pain worsens or it appears to enlarge you should see a doctor for evaluation and treatment.

A cyst?: Sounds like it could be some kind of cyst growing there. A bit smaller than a bouncy ball still seems pretty big! Is it painful? If it is getting painful or just bigger or is irritated you might want to consider having it evaluated for removal by your primary care doctor.
