A member asked:

I am allergic to sulfa containing medications. i just bought a cough syrup (torex-br) and it has terbutaline sulphate. is this also sulfa?

Check with pharmacy: SUlfa drugs are a class of drugs called sulfonimides, Terbutaline is not in that class, and the sulfate refers to a part of the terbutaline. Should be ok, but always best to check with the pharmacist, or you obstetrician. Hope this helps!
