Would make an appoin: Virus are very common this time a year. Prolonged viruses or colds sometimes can turn into something more serious. With symptoms for two weeks, I would recommend that your child be seen in the office. Nighttime coughing could be due to post nasal drip or sinusitis (esp if there is fever). Nebulized treatments and/ or antibiotics may be needed esp if there is a history of reactive airway disease.
