Training recovery: Take in a glass of chocolate skim milk after your training session. It will deliver the protein quickly with the addition of the carbs.

After training.: It's generally thought that carbohydrates a few hours before training will provide energy (assuming you're not exercising on an empty stomach as I usually recommend - search my HealthTap feed), and protein after the training will help build and repair muscle stimulated by your training. Keep your proteins lean - there's more to protein than red meat.
