Virus: This most likely a viral infection requiring only symptomAtic treatment such as gargles and lozenges. If the symptoms persist or worsen, a rapid throat culture should be done to check for strep which would require a course of antibiotics.

Sore throat : Try gargling with warm salt water several times a day. If it gets worse instead of better, go to doctor for a strep test.

Sore throat: If this condition is due to a simple virus, then salt water gargles, tea with honey, lozenges, frozen treats, acetaminophen, naproxen, or ibuprofen are all options that can be tried at home. If this has a bacterial cause, it needs evaluation by a doctor and the prescription of antibiotics.

Sore throat: First you need to make sure you don't have serious infection needing Antibiotics treatment, therefore if you have fever, chills I suggest that you see a doctor, Otherwise you can use salt water to gurgle, cepacol lozenges if no improvement then see a provider.

SORE throat: It can be viral or bacterial. Gargle with saline water but if associated with headache , chills, body aches and tonsillar exudate suspect strep throat. This time you need antibiotic like penicillin .
