Not usually: Albuterol doesn't generally put you at higher risk for developing oral thrush like inhaled steroids do. It sounds like your asthma is not well controlled and that your medication regimen could be reviewed and adjusted to give you better relief.

Yes: Albuterol can cause thrush. Make sure you use a space to reduce this. Work with you MD or ENT to diagnose and treat your tongue.
