Nipple pain: There are a wide variety of conditions which may result in inflamed and painful nipples. Most of the times, these conditions are benign such as hormone imbalances, weight gain, hypothyroidism, irritant/allergic contact dermatitis amongst others. One always wants to keep malignancy in mind as Pagets Disease of the breast may also be present, usually unilateral. He should visit his doctor for eval.
