?Nosocomial: A nosocomial infection is an infection whose development is favored by a hospital environment. Whenever I hear of a hospital stay and diarrhea, I think of one of the most common nosocomial infections-C.Diff diarrhea. Be sure to be tested and treated for that if needed, and see a GI dr. whose specialty is dealing with Diarrhea and GI tract. Best wishes.
