My aunt has hallucinated at night time. she says she sees zebras-the animal, not just stripes. has happened 3x. could this be mini strokes? diabetic.

No: Hallucinations are not symptoms of strokes. Also: visual hallucinations are not psychiatric. This is usually due to intoxication. Carefully review her meds. An overdose of ipratropium is the only thing you list that might be causal. Is she possibly getting into something else?

Possibly: While uncommon, visual and even auditory hallucinations have been described in the acute phase and also for periods after a stroke. The visual hallucinations typically occur in strokes involving the temporo-parieto-occipital region of the brain. There are many other reasons for hallucinations other than stroke but I would suggest an evaluation with your doctor and possibly a neurologist.
